Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 19 August 2026
By using this website or creating an account you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
1. Accounts
Reader accounts give access to articles, saved content and magazine orders. Business accounts give access to the partner studio, interviews and advertising. Business accounts are reviewed before activation. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for activity under your account.
2. Content you submit
- You confirm you own or have the rights to the texts and photographs you upload, including the consent of any person depicted.
- You grant Scholtes Magazine a worldwide, non-exclusive licence to edit, publish and distribute the submitted material on this website, in the digital and printed issue, and on affiliated social channels.
- We use the material only for those publishing purposes and not for unrelated commercial exploitation.
- You must disclose whether AI tools were used to produce text or images.
- We may decline, edit or remove submissions that are unlawful, misleading, infringing or contrary to editorial standards.
3. Our content
All editorial content, covers, layouts, trademarks and code are protected by copyright and may not be copied, scraped, resold or republished without written permission.
4. Subscriptions, orders and advertising
Prices, delivery and billing terms are shown before purchase. Advertising placements are subject to a separate booking confirmation and to our editorial standards.
5. Right of withdrawal (EU/UK consumers)
Consumers may withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days. For digital content delivered immediately, you agree the right of withdrawal expires once access begins. Bespoke printed or advertising services are excluded once production has started.
6. Acceptable use
Do not attempt to gain unauthorised access, disrupt the service, harvest data, or publish unlawful, hateful or defamatory material.
7. Liability
The service is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law we exclude liability for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any statutory consumer rights that cannot be excluded.
8. Termination
You may close your account at any time. We may suspend accounts that breach these Terms. Published editorial content may remain in the archive.
9. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by Romanian law, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence. EU consumers may also use the European Commission’s Online Dispute Resolution platform.
